Black Diamond’s history is as rich as its scenery. The club itself traces its roots back to the 1940’s. Once a citrus ranch named after the prized Black Diamond grapefruit, the property was transformed in 1980 by developer Stan Olsen and renowned architect Tom Fazio into a world-class golf community.
Our first event of the fall was a tremendous success, bringing together fifty-nine players including nineteen guests. We played the stunning Quarry Course famous for its limestone cliffs and the legendary 13th-17th holes that can challenge even the best players. We all enjoyed perfect weather, great camaraderie and plenty of memorable shots across this spectacular golf course.
We extend our sincere thanks to club representative Kooky Lucas for hosting us and making this event so memorable. Thank you Kooky for your commitment and dedication to the WCWGA for the last twenty six years.
We also would like to recognize and thank all those involved behind the scenes to make this event a fun and successful one, Head golf professional Billy Perry, Executive Chef Richard Howel, Food and Beverages Stacie Hein. Also, we appreciate the gift cards donated by the golf shop for the Closest to the Pin prizes. Thank you.
