The February 9th Solheim-style Match Play event on the Island course at Innisbrook was a fantastic success. Players teed off on a crisp morning that turned into a perfect, sunny day for golf.
The competition between the Red and Blue teams was fierce, with all 56 participants showcasing incredible determination and sportsmanship. In the end, the Red Team edged out the Blue Team by just three points, a testament to how evenly matched the field was. Following the matches, everyone gathered for a wonderful lunch to celebrate the day’s highlights.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Club Representative Louise Reilly-Moore, and members Barb Wellard and Carrie Bell for their help in organizing such a smooth and great event. Thank you also to long-time Innisbrook members Cathy Ferreira and Marianne Reece for managing the morning registration, and to Golf Pro, Joe Carl, for his outstanding support to the organizing committee and making the day enjoyable for everyone.
It was truly a memorable day of camaraderie and competition.
