Carrollwood Results

The WCWGA has a long history with this premier course founded in 1972 as Carrollwood Village CC. Our members have enjoyed playing this naturally beautiful golf course for many years.

It has become a summer tradition for the WCWGA to play Carrollwood CC.  Today, a group of twenty four ladies including seven guests braved over 90 degrees heat, with a heat index topping the 100’s, rose to the challenge and showed up ready to play.

Players experienced the best of both worlds, teeing off on the Meadows with its wide-open fairways and tackling the Cypress, where narrower fairways demanded precision but rewarded those who kept their drives on the fairways. At the end of the round, players came back to a refreshing and well deserved delicious lunch prepared by executive chefs Ryan Spaulding and Drew Gromosiak.

A very special thank you to Marilyn Connors, WCWGA Representative, for hosting us and for her continuous commitment and support with the WCWGA.  We would also like to recognize and thank all those involved behind the scenes to make this event fun and successful, Director of golf, Michael Woods, Golf Assistants; Josh, Matt, Michael and Zach and lastly General Manager Brian Thornberry. We also extend our sincere thanks to Mike Woods, Director of golf, for donating the golf ball sleeves for the Closest to the Pin prizes.
